Wellsville Lions Club

Fantasy of Lights

Each year, just before Thanksgiving, the Wellsville Lions Club puts up about four dozen Christmas Trees on the front lawn of the David A. Howe Library. Businesses and individuals can then purchase the privilege of decorating a tree for the small fee of $15. On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the official lighting ceremony takes place and the trees are lit and maintained throughout the Holiday Season for everyone’s enjoyment.  The nighttime sight of the decorated and lighted trees brings a feeling of joy to all those passing by the Library.

Members of the Wellsville Lions Club lay out the trees for the Fantasy of Lights on the library lawn on a brisk Saturday morning.
It takes a considerable group effort, but the work pays off. Lions Club members are proud of the results and the community enjoys the Fantasy of Lights during the Holiday Season.

As the Holiday Season progresses and winter weather sets in, the Fantasy of Lights lives up to its name. The David A. Howe Library provides the perfect backdrop for this beautiful display.
